Bacteria found in gum disease found to promote heart disease
We've been suspecting this for a while now, but there is new evidence that bacteria in gum disease can be a promotor of heart disease as well, according to a team of researchers at the University of Florida.
Interestingly, I did clinical research on this very subject when I was starting out dental school at the University of Florida as well! Great to hear the UF team is making progress in this study.
